Your herbwife, wildcrafter, and mad alchemist is Sarah, an artist and folklore-obsessed writer living in the Pacific Northwest rainforest full of cedars, ferns, and moss hosting native plant identification walks and native plant workshops on foraging, medicine, and folklore.
Growing up on farms, in rural areas, and near provincial parks in the beautiful Pacific Northwest led to an early interest in native plants (especially the edible berries!) and then to a later devouring thirst for knowledge of their traditional medicinal and magico-religious applications.
My obsessions include ethnobotany (the study of traditional medicinal and magico-religious uses of plants), bioregionalism, wild harvesting, gardening, growing poisonous plants, brewing delicious meads, and being a good steward to the local forest.
I am the proprietor of Forest Grove Botanica, an online apothecary serving North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe offering fine handcrafted medicinal, herbal, and incense products crafted from botanicals native to the Pacific Northwest mountains and rainforests.
